We don’t keep our culture in a cubicle and we’re more inclined to make a difference than a press release. We celebrate how common sense and ethical business practices go hand-in-hand to benefit the community that gives us the power and passion to give back. Under the umbrella of our parent company’s initiative DWA CARES, we pursue eco-friendly policies, diversity hiring, and collective contributions of time, talent, and resources to numerous local and national charitable organizations.
Named after our parent company, DWA CARES was established as a vehicle for employees to donate their time, talents, or funds toward supporting the charitable, research, education, and social support organizations they hold dear. The employee-led DWA CARES program offers staff the opportunity to spearhead initiatives they’re passionate about and make a positive impact in the local community.
Since 2003, we’ve been a United Way company, having shared and contributed to their mission through community campaigns, walks, and other charitable activities.
We’ve always practiced the traditional means of reducing our environmental footprint through recycling and conserving resources, but the Green Initiative was started to build on these efforts and systematically make our company more responsible and effective. Instituting measures such as double-sided in-house printing and pushing Styrofoam cups to extinction not only helped us become a more responsible company but also has saved us money in the long run.
We work hard, we study up, and we challenge each other to be our best selves. Company culture may be hard to fit in a banner ad, but we’ve come up with five words that guide us: Healthy, Hungry, Honorable, Humble, and Smart (the H4S). So when you ask how we do business, how we support one another, and how we combine rewarding work with a rewarding environment, our answer is by staying true to the principles that make it all possible.
Do you ever feel like you’re invisible to management? Or that no one takes your crazy ideas seriously? We don’t. We routinely mount innovation festivals where all employees have the chance to dream up, design, and present the next big concept or prototype based on real challenges in healthcare marketing. A few of our current services have come directly from these fests, with more in the pipeline.Visit our parent company, DWA
We believe leadership starts by helping others. The Golden Ticket program is our company’s way of giving each other additional means to pay it forward. Golden Ticket funds are provided to a random staff member at different points throughout the year with the hope that they will do more than just give that money directly to a cause or charity.
Treadmill work stations (if you’re into that sort of thing), healthy fitness competitions and fairs, wellness rooms, and in-office massages are just some of the ways we cater to a “best self” mindset at work. With career ladders, ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities, and recognition programs, we also strive to ensure your career stays healthy as well.
